Not Bad But Could Be Better by Facilities Manager
I’ve have both the Delta 36-136 and the Ridgid AC9944 Mitre Saw Stands. While I like them both, each has it’s drawbacks and strengths. I use the both with a Bosch 5412L 12″ sliding mitre saw which is a heavier than average saw, I think. The Delta latch has broken once and I had to get parts to repair it. Also, as has been mentioned by others, the supports need more adjusting for saw level when extended than the Ridgid and the Ridgid has fold down support legs for the extension arms which I like. I like the larger wheels on the Ridgid as well especially when going up steps. The downfalls of the Ridgid are the leg supports on the wheel end which have an annoying way of not letting a tall guy tilt it up high enough to be comfortable when moving it around and I find it easier to rap your knuckes when folding it up. Another drawback with the Ridgid is that it is over twenty pounds heavier so it you add the weight of a saw is is a lot for one man to muscle onto the back of a pickup. As far as versitility and ease of operation, I see them as pretty well even.
Having said all that, if storage space and light weight are a factor the the Delta is the best bet. If you are using it for just a few cuts and moving in and out of a garage to use I would also go with the Delta. However, if weight and storage space is not a factor and you will be using on job sites and lugging it around un even ground, the heft, ruggedness and large wheels of the Ridgid make it a better choice.
I guess in short what I’m saying is that while I like them both when I buy my next one I’ll get the Ridgid.

The 36-136 is a very good and sturdy stand. I was a little concerned about the stability, but it has exceeded my expectations. Easy to assemble and easy to use/store. It has quality materials and is very well built. My only suggestion is larger wheels, and it is heavy to open for the first 6-10 inches. The ability to fold it and store it on end is a great feature to save space in the shop.
A solid Stand. Period! by David Lang
This stand works just as advertised: solid construction, portable, and accomadates various tools. My compound miter saw is a real workhorse, and it’s now even more usefull because of the mobility. Yes, the stand is heavy, but it better be when I’m using power tools that could cause injury. If you’re looking for a low cost stand that’s well built, you found it.

Easy to assemble. Table saw fits on it, but the long side arms are too low (even at their highest setting) for the table saw.
